The Effortless Pant
The ideal summer pant has no zipper, rigid fabric, or hardware in sight. Last summer, brands like Donni quietly convinced many of us that the easiest pant might also be the best with styles like the Pop Simple, Pointelle, and linen.
I fell for the linen pant in particular and will be ordering it again this year in creme, sizing up from last year for a little extra breathing room.
Below are a few options that fit my idea of the perfect spring–summer ensemble.
All of these pieces I would gladly wear and there isn’t necessarily a “better” choice. It really comes down to what works best for your wardrobe.
The next few come from Leset, another great brand for this style of pant.
Below are the pieces I’d choose to complete the look.

At this point, I’ve talked about Flore Flore ad nauseam, specifically the Isla tank. I recently snagged the last size small in off-white directly from their website but I’m planning to pick up a medium when they restock in June (yes, I emailed to ask). I can wear either size in Flore Flore, but I prefer the slightly more relaxed fit of the medium.
I haven’t looked at By Far in quite some time, despite the constant use of my Amber bag that I bought five-ish years ago. These leather mules immediately caught my eye and share a similar feel to Gucci styles for a fraction of the price. This bag also feels especially right for spring with its raffia texture.
These Alohas flip flops will be on their way to me in April and I couldn’t be more excited. If you preorder now, you can still take advantage of the 30% discount.
This cotton Donni cardigan would fit perfectly with all of the pant options above and would also pair nicely with these Proenza Schouler tennis shoes.
Lié Studio has always been a great brand, but they really outdid themselves with their newest totes. The Grace is my personal pick.
The Leset Romy mule are unfortunately sold out in my size, but a simple mule would be perfect with these looks. They also feel very similar to the these from The Row.
Lastly, the Flore Flore Max tee for your consideration.
Adios!
